Familiar titles and family favorites are the theme of this year’s Broadway in Great Falls series as the Great Falls Symphony brings “Jersey Boys,” “Cinderella,” “Rent” and “Dirty Dancing” to the Mansfield Theater stage this fall.

“Jersey Boys,” which premieres Thursday, Nov. 2, is the true story of how the blue-collar members of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons became one of the greatest successes in pop music history.

Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide--all before they were 30. Let songs like “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” transport you back to the early 1960s with this Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical.

On Nov. 15, a classic fairy tale comes to life as Broadway in Great Falls presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical “Cinderella.”

A contemporary take on a well-known story from the creators of “The Sound of Music” and “South Pacific,” “Cinderella” features an incredible orchestra, amazing transformations and all the moments you love — the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more--plus some surprising new twists. This hilarious and romantic Broadway experience is for anyone who’s ever had a wish, a dream, or just a really great pair of shoes.

Travel from fairy tale land to New York’s East Village in the late 1980s with the original rock musical “Rent” on Jan. 9. The show opened on Broadway in 1996, forever changing the landscape of American theater and going on to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world.

A reimagining of Puccini’s “La Bohème,” “Rent” follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear, this timeless celebration of friendship and creativity reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters: love.

As the season closes, Broadway in Great Falls invites you to celebrate Valentine’s Day and have the time of your life with “Dirty Dancing” on Wednesday, Feb. 14. The live experience of the classic movie features heart-pounding music, passionate romance and sensational dancing.

This worldwide smash hit tells the classic story of Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent young people from different worlds who form an unlikely partnership during the summer of 1963. Sing along to your favorites from the soundtrack, including “Hungry Eyes,” “Hey Baby,” “Do You Love Me?” and “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” and find out why nobody puts Baby in a corner.
