The wonderful, legendary Lisa Shull will be joining us to conduct Sinfonia, and if you don’t know her yet, you will absolutely love working with her. If you are lucky enough to know her already, I know you’ll agree with me! Welcome, Mrs. Shull! Season Schedule & Seating Auditions 🗓️ I’ve attached a season schedule to this email so you can start putting rehearsals and concerts in your calendars. You’ll see that seating placement auditions will take place on Sunday, September 7th (in just over a month)! You’ll also see that we’ll be rehearsing at Great Falls High School quite a bit this semester as the city updates the Mansfield Theater. Mrs. Shull and I will have Seating Audition Material uploaded to our new website very soon — keep an eye out for an email announcement when they’re ready for you to start practicing. Membership Auditions ✔️ If you are moving from Sinfonia to Youth Orchestra, or if you know someone who’d like to join us in Sinfonia or Youth Orchestra, the deadline to submit a membership audition video in order to participate in Fall Semester 2025 is coming up on Tuesday, September 2nd. Note that both Sinfonia and Youth Orchestra will use video auditions for new members, no live auditions. Please use our Membership Auditions page to register and get more information. Chamber Music 🎼 Please start thinking about whether you’d like to join a chamber group this semester! As a reminder, the potential hourlong blocks for chamber group rehearsals are 1:15-2:15pm, 2:30-3:30pm, or 3:45-4:45pm.
