Johnson Says "Thank You" to the Community

"I am writing to express thanks for the deep expression of appreciation extended to me during the recent “Celebrating Excellence: A Tribute to Gordon.” It has been my great privilege to have served as music director for the past 35 years. During this time I have been greatly fortunate to work with hundreds of musicians, volunteers and community leaders.

I extend my congratulations to my successor, Grant Harville, as he works to bring the Great Falls Symphony Association to the next level. He and Executive Director, Hillary Rose Shepherd, will be a dynamic team bringing a youthful energy to live music in Great Falls.

Thanks to all the musicians, the Gala committee and all those who have supported our efforts over the years. Also, thank you to the Great Falls Tribune for their excellent coverage of the music finalists as they entered our community to lead concerts. I will continue to live in Great Falls and will be one of the Symphony's staunchest advocates as it moves into the next chapter."
