Chamber Fun 101! a concert and instrument petting zoo for kids

On Saturday, May 20, the Great Falls Symphony Association presents "Chamber Fun 101" at Heritage Hall on the Great Falls College-MSU campus. This event is free and is accessible for all ages. It includes interactive performances and demonstrations by the Cascade Quartet and Chinook Winds Quintet as well as an instrument petting zoo, made possible by Eckroth Music. The instrument petting zoo will include a wide array of strings, winds, and brass instruments. Anyone interested in trying out a musical instrument is encouraged to attend Chamber Fun 101. Musicians from the Great Falls Symphony, Cascade Quartet and Chinook Winds, and the Great Falls Youth Orchestra will help facilitate the instrument petting zoo.

The interactive concert features the Symphony’s resident chamber ensembles, the Cascade Quartet (two violins, viola, and cello) and the Chinook Winds (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet and horn). After each ensemble performs a brief interactive program, kids of all ages can indulge their curiosity, and try out the instruments they have just seen in action.

The Great Falls Symphony presents Chamber Fun 101 on Saturday, May 20 at Heritage Hall, located at Great Falls College-MSU (2100 16th Avenue South) from 12pm to 1:30pm. The event is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Great Falls Symphony office at 406-453-4102.
