Lisa Shull
SINFONIA CONDUCTOR
Originally from Missoula, Lisa was immersed in music from a very early age. Through her father’s connection with the University of Montana, she began her musical training with Eugene Andrie in the pilot Suzuki program. In addition, Lisa spent many hours in the studio of Gerald Doty learning valuable music and life lessons.
She attended Lewis and Clark College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. During this time, she had the privilege of working with Reinhard Pauly, Lillian Fuchs, and Gary McLaughlin. In addition to her private studies, she had the tremendous opportunity to be a member of the Portland Youth Philharmonic under the direction of Jacob Avshalomov.

Lisa has recently retired from the Great Falls Public Schools system where she spent over 40 years sharing her love of music with her students. She continues to perform with the String Orchestra of the Rockies and the Great Falls Symphony.
Lisa is a past president of the Montana Chapter of the American String Teachers Association. BNSF Railway Teacher of the Year, and has been recognized by her students as an Excellence in Education Distinguished Educator.
