Hillary Shepherd

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hillary Shepherd is the Executive Director of the Great Falls Symphony, and plays a lead role in the execution of all of the Great Falls Symphony’s programs. Shepherd joined the Great Falls Symphony in 2015. Prior to this appointment she served as a manager of a biopharmaceutical company. 

 

Under her leadership, the Great Falls Symphony has significantly expanded its staffing and programs.

Hillary has been involved with the Great Falls Symphony for more than 25 years in various capacities. She participated in the Youth Orchestra program while in high school at Great Falls High, and has performed clarinet as a substitute musician in the Missoula Symphony and the Great Falls Symphony. She holds a Bachelor of Arts/Music Performance from the University of Montana, a Certification in Entertainment Management, a Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma and is currently completing a dual Master’s degree program at the University of Montana – a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration with a Micro Credential in Nonprofit Management.

Hillary is very pleased have the opportunity to follow her point of passion and support an organization that is dedicated to serving the community where she grew up by presenting high-quality, live orchestral music and education programs.

She has demonstrated experience in marketing, graphic design, website design, technical writing, content creation, grant writing, fundraising, budget creation, business analytics, human resources, sales, volunteer coordination, nonprofit board management, strategic planning, contract negotiations, operational excellence, operations management, facilitation, and public speaking.

Hillary and her husband, Airon, share an often times chaotic but loving home together with their four young children, a Pomeranian named Indiana Bones, a black cat named Seven, a ball python named NightShayde, and several freshwater fish.
