SYMPHONY SUBSTITUTE MUSICIAN AUDITION PROCESS

We are always happy to consider musicians who are interested in joining the Great Falls Symphony Orchestra as a Substitute Musician, even if there are no current Member Musician openings.

CHOIR MEMBER MUSICIAN AUDITION PROCESS

We are always happy to consider musicians who are interested in performing with the Great Falls Symphony Association's Symphonic Choir.

​

We perform a wide variety of choral repertoire, ranging from major works performed with the Great Falls Symphony Orchestra, to challenging a capella literature. Membership in the choir comes from the broad Great Falls area and reflects the diversity and talents of our community and the region. All singers are welcome to audition in a very welcoming setting. Join one of the premiere choral organizations in the greater Great Falls area! 

 

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

​

1. My Country 'Tis Of Thee, sung a capella (keys:sop=Ab, alto=Db, tenor=F, bass=Db) Music and lyrics will be provided


2. Vocalises up and down your range to assess upper/lower range, voice quality, blendability, intonation, etc.


3. Simple scales to sight-read to assess music-reading ability

If accepted, you will be required to purchase concert attire (women (concert gown) approx. $65, men (tuxedo) approx. $100)
